Industry 4.0: Specific solutions with added value for SMEs
Networking medium-scaled businesses, setting standards, generating added value for customers: Following the launch of Industry Business Network 4.0 association, the merger of innovative medium-scaled companies this year presents a unique solution for the cross-producer networking of systems in industrial manufacturing at the specialist conference on Manufacturing 4.0. The congress “Fertigung 4.0 – Specific Solutions with Added Value for SMEs” will take place on Thursday, 16 November in Bad Wörishofen, Bavaria. At the summit of the most important players in the field of industrial digitisation, for example, high-ranking representatives of the Industry 4.0 platform and the Industrial Internet Consortium will focus on the latest developments in the digitization of small and medium-scaled enterprises.
The presentation of Industry Business Network 4.0 at last year’s “Fertigung 4.0” conference attracted a great deal of interest. Numerous medium-scaled companies as well as TÜV Süd and Fraunhofer IGCV have joined forces in the association to develop specific, producer-independent solutions on the subject of Industry 4.0 – from SMEs for SMEs.
One year later, on November 16 in Bad Wörishofen, Bavaria, the “Fertigung 4.0 – Specific Solutions with Added Value for SMEs” congress is now to follow: in the context of its main annual event, the association will present a unique solution for cross-producer networking of systems in industrial production. The new system has been developed in close cooperation with TÜV Süd and Fraunhofer IGCV and is designed to make the great potential of networked production available to small and medium-scaled enterprises in particular. It is based on the groundbreaking work on Industry 4.0, which was developed by the players of the platform Industry 4.0 and the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC), for example – together with the VDMA and the DVS, they will provide an exciting insight into the latest developments in the field of digitization of industry at the specialist congress. Dirk Slama is the keynote speaker this year – he is Director of Business Development at Bosch Software Innovations and represents the Bosch Group in the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC). He is currently a member of the steering committee and thus the highest body of the IIC.
As in the previous year, Ilse Aigner (MdL), Deputy Prime Minister of the Free State of Bavaria and Bavarian Minister for Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology will again be the patron of the congress: “With “Industry 4.0″, Germany has succeeded in establishing a worldwide reputation for German manufacturing excellence and innovative strength. Now we have to push forward the transfer across all companies.” According to Aigner, the Industry Business Network 4.0 association is an excellent example of how Industry 4.0 can succeed in practice and a promising approach to leveraging the huge potential of Industry 4.0.
Around 100 to 120 guests and decision-makers from business and industry are expected to attend the congress – including numerous key players from Bavarian, German and European machine and plant engineering companies as well as software producers.
