Working group meeting on the topic “machine states”

A transparent overview of machine conditions in production is particularly relevant for many Industry 4.0 scenarios. The member companies ARKU Maschinenbau GmbH, MicroStep Europa GmbH, Oscar PLT GmbH and TEKA Absaug- und Entsorgungstechnologie GmbH met on 15 February to elaborate this topic. The host was this time the ARKU Maschinenbau GmbH in Baden-Baden.

In the first part of the workshop, the members presented the status quo of their machines. At the modern straightening and trimming center of ARKU Maschinenbau GmbH, the participants were able to experience this directly on machines in use and have already developed the first use cases for networked production. In the second part of the workshop, the focus was on the breakdown of data into basic data – which is relevant for all categories of machines – as well as on category-specific data – which are for example relevant for filter systems. Based on the working group meeting, the respective relevant data are refined and the necessary steps for technical implementation in a reference plant are worked out.
